Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jonathan Tallman has proudly served 20 years in the Army, in special operations and intelligence through multiple combat deployments.
The cumulative toll of a high operational tempo and combat-related stressors on his physical and mental health ultimately led him to a Soldier Recovery Unit to begin the work of healing.
During his recovery, adaptive sports became a critical turning point, reintroducing structure, purpose, and a sense of connection with fellow Soldiers who understood the journey without explanation.
Jonathan credits the Army recovery community, his teammates, mentors, and family for their unwavering support. He is especially grateful to his brothers and sisters in arms who remind him that service simply evolves when the uniform comes off.
For Jon, competing at the 2026 Warrior Games would represent more than athletic achievement, it would honor resilience, brotherhood, sisterhood, and the power of choosing forward momentum for himself and for every Soldier still finding their way back.
Motto:
"The solution is behavior, not having more."
– Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jonathan Tallman
