Capt. Eric Blake is a critical care nurse in the U.S. Army. He served for 10 years on active duty with assignments at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, William Beaumont Army Medical Center, in El Paso, Texas, and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He also completed a rotation to Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area in Poland as a Brigade Nurse. In 2020, Blake was involved in a climbing accident where he sustained an open ankle fracture that had been surgically fused in 2022 and in 2025. Later, Blake opted for an elective amputation to address longstanding pain and dysfunction secondary to the accident. Blake is proudly married to his beautiful wife, Maj. Lauren Blake, who also serves as a critical care nurse in the U.S. Army.
