The ARCP is incorporating week-long Posttraumatic Growth training opportunities at the SRUs as a non-clinical approach to thriving in the aftermath of trauma or struggle.

Posttraumatic Growth training is a 5-day instructor-led experience specifically tailored to SRU Soldiers. Day 1 is for SRU Cadre and Staff and Days 2-5 for Soldiers in Recovery.

Training focuses on personal growth after trauma or challenging experiences, and practices to help lead a life where the individual is thriving. Training also focuses on supporting personal well-being and improved personal readiness.

Army Trials is the Army’s qualifying event for the DoD Warrior Games. Army Trials is an annual event that is sponsored and organized by the ARCP AR Branch. 11 adaptive sports are featured at the Army Trials. Athletes are encouraged to participate in multiple adaptive sports at the Army Trials.

All 14 SRU Adaptive Reconditioning teams are encouraged to select 5 Active-Duty athletes that have positive attitudes and are regular participants in their Adaptive Reconditioning programs to participate in the Army Trials.

The ARCP selects the top athletes that participate in the Army Trials event to represent Team Army at the Warrior Games.

40 athletes (28 Active Duty and 12 Veterans) are selected to represent Team Army at the Warrior Games.

Selection: Athletes are selected based upon several selection criteria determined by the ARCP. Athletes are selected based upon sports performance within their classifications, embodiment of Army Values, positive attitudes, support of fellow athletes, and coachability. Athletes with great attitudes that have foundations and regularly practice several adaptive sporting events have a great possibility of being selected for Team Army!
