Cpl. Delas Bush joined the U.S. Army in October 2022 and later deployed to Germany in support of a rotational mission. During his time overseas, he sustained a left knee injury, tearing his ACL and meniscus while playing in an Army football game.
Following the injury, Bush was assigned to the Soldier Recovery Unit at Joint Base San Antonio, where he began rehabilitation and recovery. Through the support of the SRU and structured recovery programs, he continues working toward regaining strength and returning to full function.
Bush credits his faith, family and the SRU team for helping him remain motivated throughout his recovery. He specifically thanks God, his parents and brother, and the professionals supporting him through the recovery process.
