Master Sgt. Aaron Frederick has served in the U.S. Army for 18 years, with assignments that have taken him from Camp Casey, Korea, to Afghanistan and across the United States.

On January 31, 2024, which happened to be his 16th service anniversary, his unit was conducting an airborne operation. During the jump, he landed on another Soldier's parachute and was unable to disentangle himself before they both collapsed. He fell approximately 50 feet, an impact that broke his lower back, pelvis, left sacrum, and left ankle.

He was transferred to the Soldier Recovery Unit at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, to receive specialized care. Throughout his recovery, his wife and children, along with adaptive sports, have provided the motivation to persevere and maintain a positive outlook.

Frederick believes, “God has a plan for everyone.” He also acknowledges that competing alongside fellow Soldiers with life-altering conditions and hearing their stories has been inspiring, reinforcing his faith and perspective.

Motto:
"God has a purpose for everyone.  Everything happens for a reason.”
