24-year-old Sgt. Bianca Hayden has been in the Army National Guard for almost seven years. She spent time in Afghanistan, Germany, and Poland. While in Poland, she broke her shoulder, leading to two shoulder surgeries and nearly two years at the JBLM Soldier Recovery Unit.

During her recovery she worked in adaptive sports and was able to recover and return to duty. Along with the physical training, her time at the Soldier Recovery Unit inspired her to learn more about her injury and recovery. JBLM was able to help Sgt. Hayden to adapt to indoor rowing as a one armed rower, which has now become one of her favorite activities. She became a certified personal trainer and develops adaptive workouts. Competing in the 2024 Warrior Games and Invictus in 2025 was an honor to her and really showed, that despite the setbacks, anything is achievable.

Sgt. Bianca Hayden will be one of two soldiers on Team Army competing for the title of Ultimate Champion.
