Sgt. Tukiau Salanoa-Tuioti served 10 years on active duty, with deployments to Afghanistan (2019), Camp Atterbury (2021), Poland (2022), and Korea (2024). She is currently assigned to the Soldier Recovery Unit at Fort Hood, Texas while undergoing a Medical Evaluation Board for an injury sustained in August 2018.
For nearly one year, adaptive sports through the SRU have played a vital role in her recovery, helping her stay focused, continue striving, and push toward her best.
She thanks God for guidance and her wife for unwavering love and support throughout her military career and upcoming transition. She is honored to compete in the Warrior Games and represent Team Army alongside her fellow Soldiers.
