Retired Spc. Anthony Farve joined the Army in 2004 as an infantryman. He was stationed in Fort L ewis with 2nd ID. He deployed in the summer of 2006, where he was hit by an IED 8 months 29 days into his deployment. Farve was sent to Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, MD for his recovery. Doctors saved his right leg but it did not work very well. Farve was sent to the then WTB when he was finished with his recovery. He spent two years there and retired from the Army. In 2014 ,

Favre had multiple surgeries on his ankle which made things worse. He then had his leg amputated below the knee on the right side. Shortly after, he found wheelchair basketball and learned a lot about Veterans benefits and organizations that help Veterans. He is married and has two children, Naiya and Anthony.
