Staff Sgt. Coty Tuck served over 13 years in the Mississippi National Guard. While serving he deployed to Iraq in 2018 and Germany in 2023. On May 24, 2023, while on rotation in Germany, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma. There were lots of unanswered questions until he arrived at Walter Reed. Since then, he has been through treatments, hospitalized for kidney failure, and put on various medications for other problems.

While at Walter Reed, Staff Sgt. Tuck sank into a deep depression because of how his life has changed but getting into the various events held at the Warriors Games gave him something to strive for. Participating in sports got him back to his old self. He is proud to get the chance to represent Team Army and vows to do his best. He is married with two children.
