Staff Sgt. Xavier Rodgers enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2015 from Tampa, Florida, answering a call to serve with dedication and purpose. Rodgers has served nine years in the Army across active duty Army, the Army Reserve and Active Guard Reserve, where he has served since 2024.

During his service, Rodgers sustained a gunshot wound to the head, an injury that became a defining moment in both his career and his life.

Assigned to the Soldier Recovery Unit at Fort Sam Houston, he faced one of his toughest battles with determination and courage but through intensive treatment and rehabilitation, Rodgers remained focused on recovery and refused to allow adversity to define his future.

Alongside his military service, Rodgers also embraced a new role as a father after gaining full custody of his son. Balancing military responsibilities and single parenthood, he continues to lead with professionalism, resilience and a commitment to both mission and family.
