An injury designation is used by the military Medical Team and the Veterans Administration to categorize a service members medical status.

Medical Specialists that provide medical care to the soldier based on specialized needs and medical support.

Invitational Travel Orders are issued by Casualty Mortuary Affairs Operations Division (CMAOD). to the individual who will be sent to join their Soldier at their bedside.

Also known as your Primary Care Physician. This doctor is assigned to the soldier and manages the overall primary care team.

Designated Soldier or Governement Employee that provides assistance by answering questions or directing the caregiver to the appropriate resource.

Support staff that can be comprised of Phychologist, Psychiatrist, Pharmacists, and Social workers.

These are issued to the Soldier, Activating them on Title 10 and 32

Non-medical Attendent (NMA) Orders are provided once your soldier is identified as needing these orders through attending physician. If these are received they will continue to provide sustainment of living arrangements during your soldiers. Your Soldiers condition will be evaluated by the attending physician and they will determine if the soldier will receive an NMA and your caregiver will be placed on NMA orders as well.

The casualty status of a person whose injury or illness requires medical attention may or may not require hospitalization, and medical authority classifies as less severe than SI.

Head nurse assigned to the Soldier that provides oversite and care while under inpatient care.

Medical Care, Access to the Base, Identifies that your soldier is Mobilized providing benefits while under Title 10 and are a required document if you are identified a Soldiers Caregiver.

Soldier Recovery Units – (SRUs) are located at 14 locations normally associated with deploying units. For example, there is an SRU at Fort Bragg to support Soldiers stationed there or who are from that geographic area (e.g. National Guard and Reserve Soldiers). The ARCP also has SRUs at three specialty locations including Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda Maryland, San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) in San Antonio Texas, and Fort Belvoir in Virginia.

If a Soldier is moved from Medical Facility to Medical Facility their will be amended your Mobilization Orders they will be issued to the Caregiver by the SRU, SVAC, REARD.

Casualty status of a person whose illness or injury requires medical attention and medical authority declares that death is possible, but not likely, within 72 hours and /or the severity of the injury is such that it is permanent and life altering.

An individual that helps caregivers and Soldiers cope with challenges during every stage of the Soldier recovery process.

This status is for those members whose illness or injury is not otherwise reportable such as SI or VSI but involves: personnel diagnosed with a psychotic condition requiring hospitalization; attempted suicide and suicide gestures verified by a medical authority, or other medical conditions that may require extensive medical treatment or hospitalization.

The casualty status of a person whose illness or injury is such that medical authority declares it more likely than not that death will occur within 72 hours.
